Q: Will you ever offer mini sessions?
A: No. The typical themed mini sessions are not something I enjoy and they do not reflect my style as a photographer.
Q: How do I get my images from you once you’re finished?
A: I will email you a link to your online gallery. From there you will be able to choose your allotted images. If you decide you would like to purchase more that will be available to do as well.
Q: How much is it to purchase additional digitals from my online gallery?
A: It is $45/digital with a provided print release.
Q: How much is a print release for my images?
A: This is sold per digital file at the cost of $15/file.
Q: Once I have my images, then are they mine to post on social media and add a filter?
A: While you can post on social media and you MAY hold a print release for your images, I retain all copyrights. You will not be permitted to use filters to alter your images. I work very hard at perfecting my images as far as style, coloring, skin tones, etc. Filters simply aren't something you place on top of professional images.
Q: Do you post previews of every session on social media?
A: I do not. Some request not to be on social media, while others I just randomly pick and choose.
Q: I would like for you to travel to me to do photos, is that possible?
A: Yes! Anything beyond 30 miles is an additional fee. Inquire.
Q: Can we have RAW or edited files?
A: Absolutely not. That is something I will never offer regardless of the circumstances.
Q: Why did you choose to offer less files and in return add a print credit?
A: Product! I want you to have quality product in your hands to hang on your wall, etc. I am encouraging you to get full use of your investment and showcase your family in your home as wall art at wonderful quality.
Q: What should we wear?
A: Tricky question. I personally think less is more. I suggest no matchy matchy. I don’t personally think everyone has to wear the same color. Be YOU! Throw a couple prints in, accessorize, show your personality. In addition, I offer dress rental for children with a variety of styles and sizes for your convenience!
Q: I have a session booked where I am allowed multiple wardrobe changes, do you provide anything to accommodate that?
A: Yes! PER REQUEST I have a portable pop-up dressing room I will be very happy to bring for you for your privacy.
Q: You’re my birth photographer, what happens if I go into labor and you have something else on your schedule?
A: When deciding to take on birth photography, I knew how completely unscripted the experience is. The only thing your birth doesn’t trump is an already scheduled wedding. Anything else can be rescheduled.
Q: What happens if my session has to be rescheduled for inclement weather?
A: I will try to fit you in as soon as possible on top of my existing schedule. Keep in mind that is out of our control and I can not help it if it rains.
Q: What happens if I need to reschedule due to personal issues?
A: That’s fine, you can reschedule in my next open day- you will not be worked in to my existing schedule.
Q: What if I am late to my session?
A: Don’t be. As a rule of respect and kindness I will strive to never be late and perhaps even early because I know your time is valuable and you should do the same. If you have a 30 min session and your 15 min late- you will get a 15 min session and still be charged for the 30 min you scheduled. If its an hour session, I will wait 20 min before I leave. If you just don’t show, unfortunately we won’t be working together.
Q: Where will we get our photos done?
A: Pending on where you live. I have a few locations I use frequently between Ashland to Portsmouth. I am always interested in going somewhere you know of to switch it up.
Q: How long does it take for me to get my photos?
A: Regular sessions: 3-4 week turnaround. Weddings: 8-12 week turnaround.
Q: Can I order prints/canvas through you?
A: Absolutely! It’s encouraged as most sessions come with a print credit for your convenience!
Q: Once I download and obtain my images, purchase a print release and wish to print on my own, where do you suggest I do so?
A: Mpix is a good option. I do NOT suggest Walmart, Walgreens, CVS etc. as I will not guarantee the quality of any photos printed in such places.
Q: If I book you as my wedding photographer, how much retainer do you require up front?
A: 50% non-refunable retainer fee to be paid at scheduled contract signing.
Q: If I book you as my wedding photographer, do I need to provide you with a hot meal?
A: Yes, I am human and I will be with you for 6+ hours of your day. A meal will be in my contract for myself, assistant and/or second shooter.
Q: Whats in your bag?
A: Nikon D810 (2), Nikkor 70-200mm, Nikkor 105mm MACRO, Nikkor 85mm 1.8, Nikkor 85mm 1.4, Nikkor 50mm 1.4, Sigma 35mm ART
